Our story
From a family kitchen to Cambridge’s biryani spot
Namaste — a greeting of respect and gratitude — is how we welcome everyone who eats with us. We started as a small family-run kitchen with recipes passed down through generations, and we still grind our own spices and cook every order fresh.
Whether it is a quick takeaway, dinner at home or catering for a celebration, the promise is the same: authentic, generous and affordable Indian food, with warm hospitality.
- Hyderabadi dum biryani Meat, spices and rice sealed and slow-cooked together.
- Home-ground spices Blended in our kitchen for every curry and fry.
- Local ingredients Sourced nearby whenever we can.

What’s in the name
“Namaste” is the traditional Indian greeting of respect and gratitude — the welcome we give everyone who eats with us. “Cambridge” is the community we cook for and are proud to be part of.
Hyderabadi cooking is at the heart of the menu — dum biryani, salan, chicken fry — alongside South Indian tiffins such as idli and bonda, home-style curries and the Indo-Chinese dishes loved across India.
